Kevilex is a free online reader for Ancient Greek, including Biblical Greek, and Old English, built by Kevin Albrecht. Click any word for its dictionary entry (from LSJ and Wiktionary for Greek, Clark Hall and Bosworth-Toller for Old English) and its word forms, right next to the text. You can read the New Testament, Plato, Homer, or Beowulf without stopping to flip to a dictionary, and Kevilex tracks your vocabulary as you read.

Kevilex is built and maintained by Kevin Albrecht, a technologist with over 20 years in software engineering, product, and leadership, including CEO, CTO, and Head of Product roles at fintech companies.
Earlier he worked as a computer science researcher and wrote compilers for programming languages — the kind of language-processing work that underpins Kevilex’s morphological engine.
Kevin is learning Ancient Greek himself, and built Kevilex to scratch his own itch: reading authentic Greek without the constant friction of dictionary lookups. He writes about the journey in his “Read Greek with Me” newsletter.
Kevilex is the tool he wished existed when he started — a reading companion for fellow learners.
